Northeast Kansas Bioenergy LLC was formed for the purpose of building, owning and operating an integrated biorefinery committed to producing safe, clean and environmentally friendly biofuels, as well as fueling economic opportunity for Northeast Kansas. The planned facility will be located in Brown County, north of Hiawatha, Kansas, near the small town of Padonia, Kansas.

- A 40 million gallon biodiesel facility that will use an estimated 36 to 40 million gallons of feedstock oil per year to produce an estimated 36 to 40 million gallons of biodiesel and 36 to 40 million pounds of crude glycerin.
- A 50 million gallon dry-mill ethanol facility that will use an estimated 18 to 20 million bushels of corn per year to produce an estimated 47 to 52 million gallons of ethanol and 165 to 168 thousand tons of distiller’s dried grains and solubles (DDGS).
